Description
Allergy Research GroupLipoPhos® EDTA
EDTA in liposomal phospholipids
LipoPhos® EDTA offers primary support for the health of the circulatory system. An optimal circulatory function can benefit every cell in the body. The function and structural integrity of cells depends on good circulation, for the delivery of life-giving nutrients, and for the removal of metabolic wastes. LipoPhos® EDTA contains Essential Phospholipids (EPL), which have been extensively studied for over 40 years. Clinical studies of EPL conducted in Europe show that EPL may play an important role in supporting LDL cholesterol, total cholesterol, and serum triglycerides within normal levels, and in supporting healthy HDL cholesterol within normal levels. Studies of EPL suggest it has the potential to support cardiovascular function, increase peripheral brain and circulation, and in some cases increase exercise tolerance.
Key Benefits
- Contains essential phospholipids (EPL)
- Supports cardiovascular and brain function
- Supports healthy blood lipids within normal levels
- Helps increase exercise tolerance
Note: LipoPhos® EDTA is now offered in a squeeze bottle. Only the bottle has changed; the formula is exactly the same.

Suggested Use
As a dietary supplement, 1 to 3 ounces weekly with cranberry juice or lemonade, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
Warning: EDTA is known to deplete minerals, so repletion is suggested. Higher doses or long-term use require the guidance of a qualified healthcare practitioner with ongoing monitoring of liver and kidney function. LPL is very well tolerated. No serious reactions have been reported. Occasionally, soft stools, diarrhea, constipation, and lack of appetite have been reported. Taking it with meals usually reduces these mild problems. If you are pregnant or lactating, have any health condition or are taking any medication, consult your healthcare practitioner before use.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, tightly capped, away from light. Keep out of the reach of children. Use only if safety seal is intact. Variations in product color may occur.
More Info
How does EPL differ from regular phospholipids? In orderto be absorbed into the lining of the small intestine, regularphospholipids need to be digested by the pancreatic enzymephospholipase. The resulting compound (lysolecithin) thenneeds to be re-acidified back to phosphatides before it canuse the lymphatic system to finally arrive in the bloodstream.By contrast, EPL has a liposomal structure. Liposomes are tinycell-like structures, in the nanometer size range, that cangetthrough the acidic stomach and then easily absorb from theintestinal tract. The oral delivery system of EPL offers bothprotection and delivery of their valuable nutrients, approachingthe intravenous level of assimilation.
The liposomal structure is key to EPL’s effectiveness. Recent clinical tests have verified that EPL passes through biological membranes directly into the bloodstream, effectively bridging the intestinal barrier. LipoPhos® EDTA is a nutritional supplement that offers the health benefits of phospholipids, and also contains its own transport mechanism. It is an enhanced form of concentrated beneficial phospholipids, optimized for absorption, and easy to take.
